Welcome to my kitchen (Part 1)

Our new apartment is great. We're tucked away in a quiet area of Takoma Park. Our building is right next to Sligo Creek. We're within walking distance of a great food co-op. There are a ton of international groceries in the area. The apartment itself is wonderful. We have nice hardwood floors. We have good storage space. The rooms are all huge... except for the kitchen.

I'm not saying that the kitchen is tiny. I've definitely seen smaller ones. Still, there was no reason for me to settle for what the apartment came with when I could improve upon that. I could hack my kitchen.

Using my phone, I snapped a couple of pictures of what it looked like before we began moving in. This weekend, I'll get some pictures of what it looks like now.

Seems rather small.... I hope it works. I have managed in my current kitchen but I greatly look forward to my new kitchen, which is much larger, has more counter space, etc.
