Supercook: Recipe Search by Ingredient

Supercook allows you to enter ingredients and search for recipes that make use of them.

This isn't a new idea, but it is a very good implementation of it. In addition to entering ingredients, you can emphasize some of them over others. This is great when you are in the mood for something in particular or when you want to make sure you use something up before it goes bad.

The interface is very nice. The list of recipes tells you what additional ingredients you need for each one before you even click on it. In addition, you are prompted to list specific other ingredients common to the recipes listed.

Where do the recipes come from? It is a search engine. A quick test run gave me recipes from Gourmet magazine, allrecipes.com, Epicurious, and RecipeZaar. It serves up the entries from the actual sources, so you get reviews and comments on the recipes as well.
